We’ve worked with Feilding Health Care (FHC) for more than a decade. What began as a collective of medical professionals offering a centralised service in Feilding quickly grew into a well-recognised local brand—with a new identity, purpose-built facility, and website to match.
Fast-forward ten years, and the model’s success has naturally expanded to include practices in Palmerston North and beyond. FHC came to us with a new challenge: to help them rethink their brand architecture so the organisation could grow into new communities without losing its local roots.

The Ask
The Task
Our brief was to present a clear and compelling recommendation to the CEO and board. We explored a range of brand architecture models that would allow FHC to scale while keeping the focus on community care.
Our proposed approach was an umbrella brand that would support and endorse individual surgeries while allowing them to retain a strong local presence. In that very first meeting, a board member coined the phrase that captured it all: Local Health. It became the perfect name to unite the organisation’s mission and future.
The End Game
The new identity draws on elements of the original Feilding Health Care brand we created back in 2015, evolving it to support a broader, more inclusive network. The design is strong and clean, while complementing all the other umbrella practices.
The Results
The new identity launched in January 2025. It gives the organisation the freedom to grow by attracting new staff, welcoming new practices, and building regional partnerships, while each surgery continues to deliver the personal, locally-led care their patients value.
